Gusli in modern musical culture
Mikhail Imkhanitskiy, professor of Gnesin Academy of music, doctor of art criticism, academician, full member of international academies of information, considers major components of professional academic art of playing on national instruments, are proved in concert academic performaning on gusli practice.
Gusli represents special aesthetics of national culture. Steadfast attention to preserving and revival of primordial riches of spiritual heritage of Russian people characterizes our time, therefore gusli became a symbol of revival of spirituality in Russia.
The author applies to typologically uniform approach to all kinds and types of gusli. It bases on sound attributes, soundmaking, instead of on appearance. In musical – educational process gusli with different quantity of strings are used. The modern pedagogics and a technique of training on gusli puts priority on art representations, focused on their technologies of performance, is distinct from earlier works.
The tendency of universalisation, unifications of multistring instruments opens a field for interethnic dialogue where the way of gusli performing began some kind of a beacon for other national cultures.
